New Clients:

What should I expect?

Whether your first time or are returning  to therapy, bear in mind beginning is not only brave but a transitional process. Chrysalis will ensure it is a right fit for you. We strive to form a solid therapeutic relationship with our clients as it is essential for clients to feel safe in order to unveil inner processes and form new thinking patterns. We offer therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults.

Why should I try Chrysalis' therapy services?

At Chrysalis we  incorporate evidenced-based practices in treatment and also utilize tracking metrics  throughout treatment to evaluate symptom improvement and need for treatment modification. We will also aid in navigating collaboration with other treating professionals in the community, as needed (i.e., psychiatric medication management), to ensure best line of care.

Chrysalis also provides family therapy services and works to understand every family's  unique  system and dynamic. We will assist in guiding and improving a family unit's effective and functional communication, structure and boundary setting, and bolstering meaningful,  nurturing connection.

Psychological Evaluation

Assessment:

Are you seeking answers for something that has been weighing on your mind? Has a professional or loved one suggested you seek answers through a formal assessment?

Chrysalis provides psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to those seeking answers or confirmation about a potential diagnosis and/or discovering alternative reasons for personal challenges. We specialize in evaluations with individuals ages 2 years old  through adulthood, including, but not limited to, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) evaluations.

What should I expect?

Securing a formal psychological evaluation incorporates a robust clinical approach in which the assigned examiner conducts a thorough diagnostic interview, pursues inclusion and review of collateral documentation and interviews, selectively utilizes multiple standardized test measures, and makes thoughtful and clinically-based interpretations of the findings.

Results will be carefully shared with you during a feedback session where you will have time and space to ask questions and have a clear understanding of your strengths, and potential challenges and areas for improvement. Additionally, clinical recommendations will be provided as a stepping stone towards wellness, support, and possible access to services and accommodations in needed settings.

Payment:

Fee rates for a comprehensive evaluations vary and are contingent on the nature of the referral, testing battery required, length of administration, and formal written report. Currently, we accept private pay and Aetna insurance. We can provide a super bill for out-of-network clients for potential partial reimbursement by their insurance carrier.
